To access library subscription content off-campus, the links must be “proxied” which means users must be routed through a login screen where they enter their Google Workspace username and password to show their Western Theological Seminary affiliation.
There are a couple of ways to do this. If you are direct linking to the article or ebook, make sure that the URL contains some version of the following: “westernsem.idm.oclc.org.” These links will ask students to log in when they are off-campus and most of our databases will offer you this link to copy. If you don’t see it you can manually add it to any link using our converter.
If you found the resource via Primo, you can also just provide the link to the record in Primo. The “View Online” green link
The EZproxy browser bookmarklet adds the library's EZproxy prefix to a URL. When you are not on the campus network click on the bookmarklet to access licensed library resources that you've found via non-library sites such as Google, Google Scholar, email links, Twitter, etc.

The browser bookmarklet can be added to iOS, Android and most browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and IE.
MAC USERS:
Chrome: It is not possible to install the EZproxy bookmarklet in Chrome on some Mac operating systems (e.g., Mojave and High Sierra). If you must use Chrome as your browser you will need to install an EZproxy browser extension. Search Google for "EZproxy extension."
Safari: It is possible to install the EZproxy bookmarklet in Safari if your Mac OS is Mojave or High Sierra. Please consider using Safari as your browser.
EDGE USERS:
It is not possible to install the EZproxy bookmarklet in Edge. Please use IE, Chrome, or Firefox.
