Certain libraries belonging to the American Theological Library Association have agreed to grant free borrowing privileges to each other’s distance learning students. This means that as a WTS Distance Learning Student, you can go to any participating ATLA library, show proof of current enrollment at WTS, and check out materials according to that library’s policies. If you set up an account with another ATLA library, all questions relating to their materials, like renewal requests, need to be handled by that library. This program is for print materials, so access to digital resources will be according to each lending library’s discretion.

Your responsibilities:

  • Be a patron in good standing at Cook Library. The lending library may contact WTS to make sure you are in good standing.
  • Be prepared to show proof of current enrollment at WTS to the lending library. A current student photo ID is best.
  • Be informed about and abide by the rules and policies of the lending library.
  • Return materials in a timely fashion according to the rules of the lending library.
  • Assume responsibility for all materials borrowed, including but not limited to payment for lost/damaged materials and overdue fines.

Further details are available on the Atla Website
